Biet Gabriel Rufael — Lalibela Rock-Hewn Churches

Pilot project for the long-term conservation of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, Ethiopia. The intervention on the Biet Gabriel Rufael church resolved most surface and structural decay issues, providing maintenance guidelines for the other rock churches on the site, following removal of highly intrusive temporary shelters.
