Bunker Courtroom — Palermo Maxi Trial
Palermo — 1985
Built in just a few months next to the Ucciardone prison to host the famous Palermo Maxi Trial (475 defendants). The semi-octagonal courtroom was conceived as a modern version of Jeremy Bentham's Panopticon, allowing the Court president to oversee the 30 cages arranged in a semicircle. Equipped with advanced protection systems and a computerised records archive.
