Conference Centre — Venice Naval Arsenal

In 1999 the Ministry of Defence decided to renovate the "ex Squadratori" building, the Third Novissimette Dock and the Campanella Tower, to house the Naval War Institute relocated from Livorno to Venice. The "ex Squadratori" building, built in the late 18th century to a design by architect Scalfarotto, originally featured an exhibition atrium, a tiered 300-seat conference hall, the Navy's historical library, a ceremony hall and a bar. The 2016 design variant allocated the first floor to a large conference hall for meetings of international significance.
