The Clinical Center of Serbia in Belgrade, located at the southern edge of Belgrade's historic city center, began construction in 1920, when the Faculty of Medicine was established, and has been expanded over the years. The complex comprises more than 50 buildings, some of which are of significant historical and architectural value.
The Clinical Center of Serbia (CCS) is the country's largest healthcare provider and one of the largest in Europe, with more than 3,500 hospital beds, over 6,500 employees, and more than one million patients treated each year.
The project involved the development of a Master Plan aimed at reorganizing the entire complex, integrating the existing facilities while expanding them to meet future healthcare needs. It then focused on the renovation and expansion of the main hospital building, including the construction of a second tower and the creation of a new polyclinic with more than 1,000 beds, designed to become the flagship of Serbia's national healthcare system.
